Coppers' Story

Welcome to 'The Coppers' Story', an oral history project containing interviews with officers who served in the Metropolitan Police between 1947 and present day.

In these interviews men and women talk in detail about how they came to join the police service, and the sort of work they carried out.  A few of the officers who joined in the 1980s may still have been working.

You can download the accompanying notes that provides some background to the project - The Coppers' Story - the following tracks are from the CD that was produced to promote this project.  Copies of the original CD can be purchased for £5 to cover post and package.  Cheques payable to FoMPHC, to 12 Little Aston Road, Romford, RM3 0SP.
